Yeah, what does it say about Kawasaki?
If i read correctly (min you had the eye-op done early this year), the main reason was:
Quote:

"If I had accepted the offers to continue just for the sake of carrying on then it wouldn't have made me happy especially if it was just for money," he said.
"Now I've got other projects to concentrate on."

Just seems to be saying that he's quitting cos hes no longer on the pace. And fair enough to him, too many people stay longer after their time, like Biaggi.

I'm sorry to say it but Gibernau WAS a good rider, but seeing what Troy Bayliss did on his first outing on the Desmo I have to admit that Gibernau is past his best and should bow out gracefully.

I can't agree with that. Yes what Bayliss did was bloody excellent, but if you were to put both riders on the same GP bike for an entire season, Gibernau would have finished higher in the points, i'm sure of it.

Half of his problems come back to that shoulder injury.

Er, he was. Fausto Gresini offered him a ride on the Yamaha team that he's setting up...

I assume that Andrew was referring to a factory Yamaha, not a satellite team. After all, Tech 3 have never lit the world alight on one...

No, but lets not forget that Tech 3 are the only team running Dunlops and Ellison was the only Yamaha rider with the 'new' chassis that everyone else rejected.
