Louise, opposites do attract, that is the attraction that you are not the same, however you will need to have some things in common, and I would presume you do have, the things that have kept past relations going for me “if it helps” is
1) that you can still make each-other laugh,
2) that you have some common ground
3) that you can enjoy each-others company
4) that you can do something together that is equally rewarding
5) total honesty
6) and when the shit falls down a good argument to clear the air

sometimes the stress of a long distant relationship, and not being there when you want a kiss and cuddle, can play havoc on you’re mind and its easy to make irrational decisions, which later you may well regret,

ask yourself if she lived in the next town/city/street/ would you be feeling the same lows you are feeling at present?
