Does anyone else see our British-ness being eroded in little bits?

Supermarkets now seem to think it is cute to have moving pavements going in the wrong direction.
Forcing you to pass on the right instead of our British way of passng on the left.

Just had to get that off my chest.

Walloper - The backward Scottish infidel.

It has been quite common to pass on the right when walking up stairs for quite a long time I believe.

tbh it would be better if we drove on the right anyway, but that's another story.

I think you'll find they often reverse the direction from left to right and back again to even up the wear on the mechanicals.

same with escalators.

Had them in the UK for years. I seem to recall the Concourse at the NEC having them when I was ickle (although no idea if they still do as I haven't been in an age).

I dont recall seeing anyone apart from me and my friend walking anywhere when we went to Florida, the way that people looked at us, you'd think walking was something they never considered doing!

On the Underground you have to pass on the left on the escalators.

Nothing more fun than winding up scurrying commuters by standing in the left hand side Laughing
