Hmm... Thinking

All those CCTV and surveillance cameras round the country - I wonder how many of them are actually illegal?

How useful would these ANPRcams be if every driver who passed a sign saying they'd been recorded then went on to request a copy of the data that the operator held under the DPA?

the system would collaspe if everybody used their rights ie for each time you are caught on CCTv you can FOA the tape ,

me I would make about 700 requests a day (350 on the way in 350 on the way out) when I went into town on the bus years ago it got stuck all the time and I used to count cameras (hey it was the early 90s when Ipods , and game systems were non existant) , and got to about 80ish + 10 years , it must be around 350 ish.

Ontop of this I would make 700 requests to request info on camera locations daily.

the same for parking tickets

speeding tickets etc,

most people ignore the hassle and just take it onthe chin even if they are less than legit ie Mancs police bullying people into admitting speeding even if they were not.

At which the government would repeal the FoI act ASAP , and change the word 'Fine' to charge , as fines can only be levvied by courts , which is written somewher ein the bill of rights ,

Oh btw the government has a get out clause , it can just quote national security and break any of its own laws it wants

however the best way for civil disobedience is to over pay tax by 1p , it takes 20 mins of time to check and check and check this refund x 28 million employees = system grinds to a halt,

and overpayment of tax will be made a terrorist offence punishable by instant no trial execution
