To be seriously honest mate, i think a pair of traditional turntables or traditional CD decks are better than the above intograted unit.

Traditional decksonly worth considering

1. Technics 1200/10's
2. Stanton Str8-150's/ ST 150's

And im not right up on cd decks but, anything by pioneer is your best bet.

Depends on your budget.

i got a set of Numark Axis 4's... but feel really kinda restricted when useing them..becuase you dont have the total control of the CD like you would with a set of pioneer CDJ's... i keep gettin told that i should be able to use both... never used vinyl turntables before... but with the hybrid you pop in a CD and and theres a special vinyl that you pop on and you can manipulate the CD by turning the vinyl - would make good practice i guess

only doing it at home at the moment..but want to make a career of it...so my skills should be broad

cant be arsed with gettin records..specialy with the kinda of music i DJ.. i like to be able to listen to sumin off the radio.... then 'get hold of the song'...and fire it on a CD and see if i can mix it

duno..sounds like ive made up my mind already....but wondering if anyone was in the know about this sorta thing

oh..and anything upto £1500 is affordable

In all honesty mate id just get a set of pioneers, alot more things you can do with them, and plus they have the artificial platter on top also.

https://www.djstore.co.uk/cgi-bin/item.pl?item=piocdj1000mk3&page=&sort=rating&terms=selcd-aaaaaad2a

Cant beat them mate, the industry standard of cd decks.

And Vinyl's not that hard, takes a bit of getting used to, but it will come together. I didnt use mine for 4 months and sounded like a fucking 3 yr old when i got back on them. Just keep in practise and vinyl are great, plus, some tunes also only get realeased on vinyl.

I know alot of my music does.

And everyone as £1525.00 for a pair of cd decks?

You can get the same featured set for less than 500 quid. I know id save the grand and put it towards other kit etc. Vinyl is ok but it as no place in the modern music industry as it as limetd features etc. Cd decks are now being used by all the main dj's for live sets and computer aided production for actually producing the tracks.

Tascam also do good value for money cd decks, with a feature to be able to link them up to your turntable like as FINE_NSR states.

If ya need more help add me to msn

You can get cheaper, Pioneer cdj800 which are more or less the same as the above can be had for £500 on ebay.

Yes vinyl is dying out, but it wont die out for a while. Ill be after a pair of CD decks myself soon when money's available. There next on the shopping list after bought a HDTV.
