your site says a 14 tooth front sprocket and it will go at 110 mph i got a chain and sprocket set with a 14 tooth f sprocket an at just under redline its struggling at 98-100mph do you get 110 well into the red line or do you think the sprocket set i got has a different amount of teeth do you know how many it should have to do 110mph cos i noticed a slight reduction in accelleration and fuck all top end increase is this possible its dsoing my head in my mates are getting 125s soon i want to be faster please help

i mean how many teeth should the back sprocket have it deffinately has 14 at the front

the less teeth at the back the faster top speed- thats right isn't it? the mito has 38 teeth (I know cos I'm gonna get a mito sprocket for my planet, which has 43 teeth standard) so the NSR should be the same I'd guess.

Hi

Yes a smaller rear and / or larger front sprocket will give a higher top speed at the expense of acceleration (assuming the bike has the power).

However, the overall gearing of a bike is also dependent on the actual gearing of each individual gear, combined with the primary drive ratio (ie, crank to gearbox gearing). This varies greatly between bikes
