heres last years summer project boys and girls i took an old bucket of an NSR and turned it into a beauty. loads of rebuilding and also loads of paint!!!. started by stripping down to almost a bare frame and rebuilt the engine top half and also had to remove half the bottom engine and replace various things such as the water pump seal and clear out all the baileys. worth the effort i reckon though!!! will be on sale soon as im moving onto the bigger bikes. it runs like a dream and so it bloody well should after all the labour put in. its funny to see it now as a collection of photo;s which span almost a year in full!!!

Nice project mate, when I saw the first picture I thought that was the finished product and wasn't too impressed, but in the end it looked stunning.

Only suggestion, downpipe could do with a bit of black VHT paint.

Nice one.

Pretty much what he said, or if you're not on too much of a tight budget, replace it with a full system from Arrow or the like.

Particularly impressed with the frame Thumbs Up

A very nice project, the bike has been given a whole new lease of life! I suggest if you can, take off the exhaust, hang it, spray it then use a halogen bulb heater to cure it for a while if you can, then take it inside once its dry enough, will make sure it doesnt let the rust through. Also depending on what the system is made out of, you might consider getting the brass brush end for a drill and taking it over it

It maybe completely different inside, but it looks asif the engine in your bike gave birth to the (almost) modern AM6 engine! Thumbs Up

Your exactly correct, but really its not much to change the capacity of the bore, the stroke etc may still be the same. I just noticed theres an extreme similarity between the look of the two engines (aesthetically) couldent tell you about the internals.

Doubt it tbh, no way you could stick a 125 bore on the am6, the crank is made of cheese, not to mention if it was we'd all be putting nsr125 cylinders on our RS's and tzr'sSmile
