Hopefully you are in for a treat. My head involuntarily shook from side to side and I had to stamp my feet. £9 though? I thought it was £1.20 for 10?

How come this got moved to Dear Auntie BCF?

There was some confusion when this section was first created, with threads being moved in and out by mods who had different views on it.

Anyway, this section is for people to ask the world of BCF a question, be it about penny sweets or massive life changing choices.

my boyfriend is always on a quest for sour sweets as well - he complains that the stuff sold here isn't sour at all (ie. sour skittles etc.) compared to American sweets. The best sold here seems to be those Toxic Waste sweets already mentioned! But if you can get hold of the American sweets called ShockTarts I'd recommend you buy some, but brace yourself! Shocked

Aha found them online I think..

Not sure if these are exactly the same as the ones we got in the US - packaging was a bit different - but the name is the same, so I'd give them a go! Thumbs Up

Sparks, did you just swallow it or swish it around your mouth first? You need to swish it about a bit.

If you did, I'm sorry I led you up the garden path. You are hard core. I salute you and hunched slightly, I shall now dissappear up my own arse with a packet of Refreshers.

In order for something to be truely sour in my book, you must have the following

Arrow The twitching of one eye
Arrow The claw hand
Arrow Screwed up face
Arrow Mouth watering for the next 10 minutes
Arrow Head at 90 degrees
Arrow Foot stamping is optional

Did both, doesnt taste sour at all, just disgustingly vile tasting.

i'm not really a big fan or sour sweets myself i prefer the old fashioned milk gums,

so out all all the websites people have used, which ones have a good reputation for the order being delivered ontime then.

Mega Warheads are the sourest thing I've tried thus far and I LOVE sour candy. It's a hard candy center coated in a ridiculously sour shell that lasts 20-40 seconds, depending on your sucking ability. Turns out they've got quite a range of sour stuff, actually.

I used to like these things

https://www.amazon.com/Nobel-Super-Lemon-Hard-Candy/dp/B0009ZC482

but the way people are describing some of the stuff that they like I don't think they will quite cut it for you as they're only sour for the first 5 seconds or so....

If you really are out to make your saliva glands spasm then I suggest that you just get some of the flavouring that they coat all of these sweets with, it's all the same stuff, some citric acid type chemical I'm guessing, and just dip dab with a chuppa chup or something.....
