G, you need to understand and open your mind a bit more that people are different, and take pleasure from different things. Sure you may enjoy spending your cash on trackdays/racing, but that doesn't mean the next bloke does.

I just paid £140 for a Brembo Radial brake lever. Now, I get just as much enjoyment out of it as I would, lets say, going away for the weekend. The way I look at things like that are, why waste money going away on holiday/ out drinking etc when I don't enjoy it.

Sure I can see your argument, but your way of looking at material goods isn't the same as mine. You could say that come death-bed time you will look back on a more 'activity' based life and be happy, whereas someone else could look back on a more material life and be just as happy.

Sure, if your just buying things to impress your mates, then I would agree it is money down the pan Thumbs Up

I want to see the progress of a one-off being built, not reading post after post or arguing. STFU and let this guy show us his project!

anyone ever noticed that every other post G puts up is him lecturing how better the money could be spent.

Korn should change his title from "voice of reason" too "moans like an old git". which fits him alot better.

I cant see the harm in making good into something great just thinking what and how good my bike is going to be when i've finished it, gets me out of bed in the morning.

Yeah some of you dislike the amount of spokes i choose for my wheels and the colour but i like it none the less and thats all that matters.

I can see where g is coming from i can also see the other side of the ooh factor of looking oh so kewl. Personaly i would if the bike was totaly overhauled and i mean totaly as in engine and chassis. Personaly i would spend the money on the engine if money needed to be spent, then body work if i needed to upgrade the front end id go for somin thats prob just as good if not better of somin else and spend saved money wise. just my 2 Penny Coin Penny Coin

Are you tempted to get a Tyga body kit put on from jap performance. It'll look really really sweet and costs as much as the forks Cool , 800 quid all in all for the panels and will make something special. I think Craig's bike was one of theirs and had a 3600 price tag. All value is not lost if it's special and somebody is willing to pay the price. Good luck with your project Thumbs Up Karma

Tbh, I'd get the bike sorted underneath such bodywork beforehand - mine seemed to have just been botched onto a bit of a mess of a bike, with little consideration to its working order, electrics, etc. In my eye, it was worth no where near their asking price.

Not having a go, the fairings are reasonably good, as is the paintwork - but if I was working on a standard-shaped NC30, I'd leave it at that - opting for an aftermarket paintscheme when necessary. In my eye, the original bodywork is better looking, finished and better put together than the Tyga effort.

Bike has the potential to look tops - I usually start by noting down everything I want to do, then prioritising them. Suspension sorting should be quite high on that list.

Ah right. Are you going to buy some race rearsets, like the ones that have been appearing on eBay?
