Parents: Hello Oddkid, what are you doing?

Oddkid: I'm giving tickets to these illegally parked cars, I want to be a traffic warden when I'm older.

*Parents back away slowly*

Congratulations Thumbs Up

You discovered the origin of my nickname! Well done, indeed the Harry Enfield reference. Though i have it for generally being slightly Odd.

Also thankyou very much.

Dont buy her a ring.....

Dump her, spend the wedding money on a lovely new bike and go touring accross the continent instead.

You will appreciate that more in the long run . . . . . . Thumbs Up

Interesting suggestion, but my beloved makes me feel more alive than i have been since i was born and i can't imagine life without her.

I think i shall stay with my decision to marry her.

Bit off topic but my tip is get her to remove all rings when assembling wardrobes that don't quite fit together properly.
I got the Mrs to hold one end as I pushed with all my weight on the other end. Her wedding ring took all the force and got bent to fuck. Cost a small fortune to reset 6 diamonds into the band and straighten.

Another tip. When climbing a gate with a loaded shotgun remove your rings before they get caught on the gate and you fall breaking your finger and bending a very expensive platinum wedding ring. I had 12 injections in my little finger before they could put my nail back where it should have been.

Cheers for those rather painful tips. I'll keep those i mind for sure, don't fancy breaking or skinning my finger, nor hurting my fiancee in anyway shape or form lol.

Thanks very much, we are overjoyed Laughing Its fantastic.

I think i'll try to get a ring with the gems set in further, so there's nothing to catch rather than a plain one, that'll save my lady having to swap rings or take on off at all.

Everyones been quite helpful, so thank you all Laughing

Oddkid...
If you come out saturday you may gaze at my many rings, (shut up shouting chav at the back) one of which has three large aquamarines(sp?) set boldly, they cause me no discomfort when riding with inner gloves under my summer gloves...

also steph needs her head looking at if she's happy with 'gems' in her engagement ring!!

I'm unsure as whether to buy diamonds or her birthstone, so it's carefully thought out, not just plastic and glass Laughing

That reminds me of something my dad did with an ex-girlfriend when he was younger... He didn't dump her though, he just went out and bought a bike with the engagement ring money. Well, she had her horses, and to be fair he would have taken her on the back... However, i do believe she dumped him shortly after Wink

Congrats oddkid! Sounds like you too are very much in love... Enjoy Smile

EDIT: Why did i think of bums when reading the thread title Shocked Laughing

How about a whcking great diamond... traditional and leaves eternity ring options open?

if you buy your ring ff QVC/bidup or anyother toss I'll shoot you, go to the jewelery quarter and pick something she likes, seeingas it's not a surprise and get it made into a ring?

Went into Andrews in Nuneaton this afternoon, saw a few things i like, going to see what my beloved would like and sort it all out.

Like hell would i go order off the tv!! what do you take me for, a chav Laughing

She told me that she'd be happy with a fork bent into a circle, but thats just silly so i'm looking at white gold at present.
