Every now and then, a new thread pops up where someone bought a new bike and they show the pics etc.....

What i'm wondering is: Do people actually pay the whole cost of the bike straight away, or do they get some kind of financial assistance/loan etc.....

The reason im asking is that it may be the case for me - having to get a little help! Shocked [/b]

Three bike and all cash Mr. Green

£1200 for ZXR

£600 for FZR

£500 for Monkeybike

(no savings anymore Shifty Sad )

To be honest, I would nt be able to afford HP or a bank loan for a brand spanking new bike as I have other things that need payment, and as a bike is a luxury item, its something that I will not go into debt over.

First bike. £3.6k Bank Loan, second bike £2k Bank Loan, third bike £1.7k Insurance payout, fourth bike £2.8k Insurance payout.

Still paying out for first two bikes, so Im hesitant to get anymore credit unless I actually NEED it. As in, no bike and no upcoming payout from insurance (think written off at fault on TPFT).

Ive got a wodge of compo coming and I just cannot decide which bike to get atm. Thinking Daytona 675 (trade in Bandit at the same kinda time for a Fazer or similar), or CBR, or GSX, or ZX6R, or.... Thing is all apart from the bandits replacement would be new. So just cannot decide which I like best. Rolling Eyes

I saved up to pay for my bike straight away, along with the insurance and all the other hidden costs of getting on the road.

Took a fair few hours at work to save though Shocked

I try to pay for it upfront as much as possible, and if I need to borrow a couple of hundred, I am lucky to have relatives that can lend me the rest. At least I dont have to pay interest.

(Although I would never be cheeky enough to demand a loan of £1000 or so from them!)
