I managed to get out to play for a couple of hours this afternoon for the first time in a couple of weeks. Very Happy

Tell you what I noticed though, even though it was only my second time out on the Zephyr and I'm going to use that as an excuse it took me a good while to get "warmed up" and get properly into the ride and the bike.

I had a couple of wobbly moments at first, including most embarrassingly stalling it once as I went to pull away from a set of traffic lights Embarassed which meant I held off from filtering to the front of the queue at the next few....... Sad

I noticed the same thing last time I was out but put it down to it being the first "proper" ride on a different bike with different power delivery, riding position, clutch, brakes etc.

I know a lot of you ride regularly so it's probably not something you've experienced but some of you must be fair-weather riders like me and it would make me feel much better if you were to tell me that it's not just me and you too feel like you've forgotten how to ride when you get back on after a bit of a break.

Well I rode the Jawa today for the first time this year. Boy is that a different experience to a Jap 4-stroke. Probably found more neutrals than gears. Takes a bit of getting used to again when I remember how I used to rag the hell out of my last one.

I havent been riding for as long as you, but it does take me a little while to 'settle in' to the ride. It used to concern me, but I make sure I get the bike out every few days now...and that 'settling in' period is getting shorter.

The roads are all awful at the moment so I'm not surprised if you had a wobbly moment.
