has anyone ever had problems with the gear box on a nsr125r1,
2002 model. I have been told by bransons (after braking down 50 miles from 1st service) that gear box's can run on an egg cup of oil, when the honda manual states 0.7ltrs recomended level ie max line on the inspection window !?!
Also when I called the AA roadside assistance they said that there was no oil in the gear box and the transmission chain was far too loose. AA advice was to put oil in to get home safely, we did this and the noise stopped and oil started to show then filled just above max line ie indicating again that there was no oil in the gear box at all !!!!
next day Bransons inspected bike and said they drained out 1.6ltrs. I do not believe them but they will not admit to servicing the bike and charging me extra on the service when they missed filling it back up.
WHERE DO I STAND AS FAR AS THE LAW AND WHAT ABOUT GETTING MY BIKE BACK AND KNOWING IT'S GOING TO BE SAFE IN THE FUTURE?? Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

1. have you got you invoice for the survice??? that will tell you every thing they have done OR should of done.
2.then get a second opion from anouther honda garage if pos they can check to see if there is a fault that would cause the oil to drain. if they find no fault then ring honda uk and complain to them also if you in spect the engine you should be able to tell if clean oil was put in the engine as the inside of the engine will be "shit" free.
