Has anyone got one or had one in the past? If so what's it like?

The new bandit 1250 looks a bargain I must say
but IMO the Hornets looks compared to the Bandit, is like comparing Angelina Jolie to Jade Goodey |

I thought the 900 might be a logical next step for me after I got tired of the 600 (not happening so far) but the more I read the less interested I am.
The common view seems to be that as the 900 doesn't really have that much more power than the 600, the trade off in terms of extra weight and less sharp handling isnt worth it. If you want a more revvy/involving naked bike you should go for the 600, if you want something with more torque for touring or going longer distances maybe the 900 makes more sense... I think you can fast on it in a more lazy way.
I do like the twin underseat cans though and if you want a practical big cc naked bike, I don't think theres alot of competition (bar the bandit 1200), since all the big naked bikes these days seem to be extreme weekend toys (the speed triple, z1000, tuono, ktm superduke, big monsters.... all very very cool but not really designed for touring or carrying a pillion). ____________________ "he who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man"- Dr. Johnson |

I went touring with a naked bike (see my signature "MY EUROPEAN ADVENTURE")
Glad I did it, but I would seriously recommend a faired bike as the windblast gets a bit too much after a while.
So much so that this summer I'm considering hiring a bike to tour on! ____________________ Kawasaki ER6n -> Honda CBR600RR -> Honda VTR 1000 -> Moto Guzzi Norge 1200

Considered a cb1300?
what are you after from the bike, revvyness or arm-removing torque?
