*DING* The correct answer is carb icing.

Bit of proFST in a tank of fuel and it'll be reet as rain.

Hi

Is it a UK spec bike? Have a feeling UK spec 600 Bandits had carb heaters.

All the best

Mine has little brass connectors on the bottom of the carbs, but mine suffers from icing fairly badly.

Apparently the controlling switch goes up the spout fairly regularly.

And I read somewhere that it was only the newer model bandit 600s that had carb heaters, i.e 2000 +

The early Bandits ,before about 97,didnt have carb heaters from standard, but if presented to a Suzuki dealer while in warranty, then Suzuki would fit them. The carb heaters do help, but not totally cure the fault of carb icing.Mixing Silkolene ProFST does help a lot .

No. Redex is meant to reduce carbon buildup. All sorts of other claims for it, but the Silkolene stuff is designed to stop carb icing.

All the best
