Hey,

My bike fell on it's side, the side with the brake fluid reservoir (thingy) next to the front disc brake. Well, this bolt thing came loose and the brake fluid pissed everywhere.

I pull my front brake and it is loose (obviously)..Am i right in assuming if i just refill the brake fluid it will be fine, or is there more to it than just refilling.. (never had disc brake bike b4!!)

Cheers..

You mean the brake caliper, yeah? The reservior should be mounted on your handle bar.

You've most likely got air in the brake system, which means that it'll need bleeding. Take a peek in the FAQ section for a guide on bleeding your brakes.

problem is, there is a tip for bleeding brake lines, but it doesn't actually tell you how to do it.

I just basically need to know how to bleed lines and refill with new brake fluid..

Regards,

Yes, it's your brake lines that need bleeding. "Brakes" covers your caliper(s), reservoir, and line(s). Fluid is pumped from the reservoir through the line(s), and to the caliper(s). If you get air in your brake line they will feel spongy (if you can feel anything at all that is).

Ideally, although the primary use of the hose isn't for checking if air is coming out, but more to ensure that brake fluid doesn't dribble nicely all over your caliper. Razz
