hi, any one know where i can get a front brake line for my cagiva supercity 125cc J-reg 1992 new or second hand.

iv been to 6 places today and cant find a place that can either repair my old line or make me up a new one or even sell a ready made hose for my bike.

one place said that it look like a car fitting on one end and a motorcycle fitting on the other Shocked

can anyone shed some light on this as i need my bike A.S.A.P for work.
cheers,
james

My local place, JT Motorcycles in Bridgend does mail order for pretty much any production bike out there. Always been really helpful in person, and also does mail order / online orders

Click here to check out Cagiva Supercity 125 parts....

...or contact by email, snail mail or phone

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

Hi

I expect that you can just use a normal banjo fitting on the caliper end, rather that the screw in fitting Cagiva had a habit of using.

All the best

Keith

They're normal banjo fittings. Got a full stainless set on my for under £60. Just run a string along the length and measure it. Decide on what angle you the fittings and get any (half decent) shop to make it up.

the screw in bit screws into the master cylinder on the handle bars, so if i get a banjo fitting for it on the caliper and the master cylinder end it should be fine??

what do you get with a brake line kit? obviously the brake line Wink any fittings??

cheers,
james

Hi

Screw on hose at the m/c? Not what I thought.

I would expect the fitting on the actual m/c and caliper are standard ones. If you get a kit normally it will come with lines (with end fittings), banjo bolts and copper washers.

All the best

Keith

pics below are:

1st: caliper with the banjo fitting

2nd: master cylinder end at the bars with the screw in fitting (also the small washer like bit is what has broken off the line)

simple solution to that... the lazy way to clean your bike, if it is going to rain wash the bike step back and then let the rain rinse it off... saves time too Thumbs Up Very Happy
