Hi

https://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23386016-details/The+strange+case+of+Lord+Loophole+and+the+mystery+driver+in+his+speeding+car/article.do

Ex senior copper who is a Lord and home office advisor and who slagged off a copper who was found innocent of speeding because he could not remember who was driving has used the same defence himself.

All the best

Keith

Intresting. Why not just pay the f'ing fine, regardless of who was driving, and go about your day? I can't imagine a man with his title being too poor to afford a ticket for 45mph.

Payment aside, the hypocritical git shouldn't have double standards. This Carol Hollingham gets 3 points and a £145 fine - yet Lord Holier-than-Thau gets off Scot free? I don't find that entirely fair, tbh.

Just my two cents.

Sam

Devils advocate for a second.

Maybe he was out of the country and didnt know who was driving.

He's hardly exploiting a loophole in that case. He's falling under the same

It just highlights how unfair speed cameras are.
I believe that to get a speeding ticket, you should be stopped and id'd.

Hi

True Froggeh. The issue isn't that he didn't know who was driving, rather that this is someone who has got on his high horse to complain about someone else who did not know who was driving, and now seems to have suddenly decided that not knowing who was driving is fine when it applies to him.

All the best

Keith

I appreciate that, but maybe this will make him think twice next time, realizing that not everyone is just trying to exploit a loophole.

Possibly, but some points might have made the lesson more effective for him Wink .

All the best
