Got my reply from young Mr Tony this morning as well, couldn't resist replying to the sanctamonious twat!

Here's what I wrote:

Dear Prime Minister,

Thank you for your reply. However, I feel I must stress that in whichever way this policy is dressed up it will still be seen as a stealth tax and monitoring by "Big Brother". How long will it be before the so called "black boxes" installed in vehicles are used to monitor our movements in other ways and be employed as a platform for the issue of speeding tickets etc.

This scheme will not reduce the congestion on the roads caused by illegal drivers or the hard working honest citizen. If a car is stolen, the common criminal will not stop to think about road pricing and the installation of a black box!

Any guarantees you provide that this scheme will not be used in this fashion are only applicable while you are the incumbent at Number 10. A position provided to you by us the people, as you have already stated that you wish to step down later this year, can I ask what Mr Brown's opinion's and plans are for this proposal?

We live in a democracy, Mr Blair, and this democracy can and will remove you and your colleagues from the positions you now enjoy if you don't listen to and act upon the wishes of the nation as a whole. Any thoughts by yourself that this is not necessary are purely the imagination of an idealistic socialist mind. This method of rule has been tried and tested throughout history and has failed every time.

You are employed by the nation, and I think it would be in your best interest to do what the nation wants you to do.

May I also suggest a couple of informative and entertaining books for a spot of bedtime reading, namely Gorge Orwell's "1984" and "Animal Farm"

Yours Sincerely

Guy Taylor

No, the buggers sit on the side of the motorway with their lights flashing causing everyone to slow down.

Not to mention their presence even when driving around slows down traffic as everyone assumes they're proper police and will ticket anyone doing 73mph.

I too received an e-mail from our terrifically failed PM.

I cannot stress to say how annoyed I was reading his response. The e-mail was written as if a 6 year old composed it.

Do yourself a favour, read Simon Heffer's article from today's Telegraph:

What have the past 10 years of Blair been for?

There are some positive aspects to road-pricing, as evidenced by our American friends........

The worst part about implementing road pricing is that the figure is pretty much identical to the sum it would take to repair each mile of our motorways, why not just fix the bloody roads rather than push us 1 step closer to civil unrest.

Iit makes me wonder how much more we are willing to take before the country goes up in arms and takes a stand, the fuel price demostrations worked so i wonder why we dont just do something about this...

cheers

leigh Very Happy

because people think it won't happen, or, 'the next person will deal with it'.
