Hi,
my speedo started juddering a few days ago and firmly dropped it's way to 0 & won't move.

I managed to discoonect my speedo cable at the clock end and wheel end.
However, I notice that if I turn one end by hand, the other end turns no problem. That would seem to indicate the cable is working fine. I can't see anything obvious with the speedo indicator/housing itself. Any ideas?
I'm selling this shortly and would like ot get it fixed so it's at it's best. Smile

Hi, managed to have a look in the barrel at the wheel. Very difficult to see, but when I span the wheel I didn't notice any difference/anyhting moving inside.
Is there much else I can do mate?

Pull the inner cable out and put it into the drive and spin the wheel and see if it turns... if not replace the drive.

Either the 2 plastic lugs inside the drive that locate on the wheel are broken off (normally happens if wheels been removed and refitted) or the plastic teeth have stripped.
