Hi

Just parked my bike outside for 20 minutes max to pick up some stuff from my flat. It was on the roadside out of my sight for 10 minutes. I got all my gear on and jumped on to find some utter twat has tried to barrell my bike. There's a screw inside with the head ripped off. The thread sticks out only a few mm, not enough to get a set of plyers on. The key obviously does not fit. Is there anything I can do, or does it need a new barrell completely? I've taken care to protect the bike, I'm not going anywhere. Just glad I wasn't out and about, then I'd be completely stuck. Does anyone have any advice, anyone been here before? I'm raging here. Can the police do anything? The area's covered by cctv, but the guy didn't actually steal anything. Just tried and fucked up my day.

Also, these guys must walk about with screws, claw hammers and helmets, no? They must barrell the bike and go for a spin. So these guys are technically bikers then? What utter dickheads.

they're not technically bikers, they're technically thieving scum.

the police should/could do them for attempted TWOC upon successful arrest and all that.. i would be fuckin livid, and be looking for the bastids.

glad it's not been taken, keep it safe Karma Thumbs Up

Personally I'd phone a load of mates, leave the bike where it is and stake it out. They'd undoutedly come and have another go, so this is where you get to follow them back to a small deserted road and batter them with bats and bars.

Or at least threaten to.
