On Tuesday 24th April at 10pm Scottoiler was ram-raided and three motorcycles stolen from their factory in Milngavie, Glasgow. Details of the stolen bikes are as follows:

Montesa Cota 315 RY Trials Bike
Chassis No. VTDMT03A0YE301118
Engine No. NN3E821412
Colour. Silver
Reg. W177 NBS
Year. 2000

Kawasaki KX250T6F Motocross Bike
Frame No. JKAKX250TTA003533
Engine No. KX250TE003340
Year. 2000

Suzuki DS80
Frame No. JS1DC13A0N2102794
Colour. Yellow Frame / Blue Seat
Year. 1994

The footrests of the Montesa and the Kawasaki had been removed as part of a development project prior to the break-in, making the bikes fairly obvious if they're sold on.

If anyone has any information about the break-in, or the whereabouts of the bikes please email nick@scottoiler.com or contact Scottoiler on 0141 955 1100.

Although someone cynical might suggest that after years of flogging about a fivers worth of plastic for £70 a pop would mean they can afford to replace them?

What does this mean you can design a scott oiler for £5 a pop? ,

I've always thought about the L00bman Toby has on his GS500 , it could be
improved in that why not just attach a 555 timer a push solenoid to the top
of the loobman which presses the loobman every few seconds,

I however went Shaft drive instead, the CBR will be treated to manual chain lube
though

Fine if you're an electronics expert, but not so good for the rest of us. I know one or two people who fitted Loobman systems to their 'bikes, and they all switched to Scottoilers as they were easy to use.

Put some Scottoiler stickers on the shafty and see if anyone notices Wink

No, but I could probably make one out of junk lying around in my house/lockup if I could be arsed.

I'm getting on ok with my loobman to be honest, you just need to remember to squeeze it every 300 miles or so.

Can't remember where I saw it, but the ghetto chain oiler for £5 made out of a fuel injector was pretty cool.

Well the feed 'tubes' weren't touching a gap in the sprocket... There was no reason for the 'tube' to wear down... The guy was baffled as well.
