Right, after spending a day cilender head hunting and being quoted prices of like £97 to £160 for a head i decided to attack mine with a piece of wet and dry, smoothed out most of the dings, the last one which is the deepest is the smaller yellow circle on the picture, caused by bits of piston ring.

I know how to kill a 2 stroke, trust!

Probably not a problem, although as I've said you can have mine which other than being a bit coked up is fine, for £20 + postage.

Hi

For ultimate power and reliability those dinks may well make things worse, but for road use I would not worry out them. Looks like you have already got rid of any sharp edges / raised lumps (which would get hot easily, glow and ignite the mixture).

I just felt over it again , and out of say 20 dings and light scratches, 3 of them you can get your fingernail in, im not sure what to do Confused

My left hand oil seal is leaking, when i push down on the forks, oil appears around the back of the rubber seal and on the fork leg Twisted Evil

I think im going to get it running and flog it while iam ahead! Twisted Evil

Fix it, fork seals arn't exactly expensive...

Have a look on scotty's web site. The NSR (old model) manuals are on there, where it goes through the prosses.

It's really not that difficult, though helps if you've got a centre stand or a half decent way of lifting the bike to get the weight off the front.
