At 33bhp most bikes top out at roughly 100mph and will happily cruise at 70 all day day. Your sizes you described are roughly the average for bikers I think so the weight shouldnt be a problem. I'm 6ft, but only weigh 10.5st so if I can keep a 170kg bike upright then I'm sure you can lol.

Had an indicated 90mph once Rolling Eyes But will do 80mph happily restricted.

It will feel like a better version of the XR125, which is good in alot of ways because your already used to that type of bike.

It isnt the lightest bike ever made but weight isnt really an issue for someone of your weight / height, im just a bit taller than you an have never had any problems.

Learn from my mistake from the tyres, if you decide to buy the FMX it will come with Pirelli Dragons.. Good grip, dont get me wrong, but the mileage on the back tyre is very bad. Got like 1200 miles from it :/

Fitted a pair of Pirelli Diablos, the rear is slighty thinner but handling is so much better, and the mileage is too. Something to bear in mind Thumbs Up

Reason i bought it is because i have always had an interest in supermotos, handling is brilliant, most of my riding is on a/b roads and city riding, so filtering is easy.

Of course i would say buy it.. but if you are riding motorways and things, you may consider a v twin or inline 4. Singles arnt cut out for that kind of use.

I have some pictures of my bike if you want a look at them also
Thumbs Up

Others to consider are the Yamaha XT660X and the MZ mastiff/baghira.

They all use the Yamaha 5-valve 660cc motor which is a bit more modern and more refined than the dominator engine in the honda (which, in my oppinion, lets it down a bit). The Yamaha looks super-trick and has a fuel injected engine. The MZs use carbs.

If I were in the market for a factory street-moto I'd probably have another MZ (I had one previously). The build quality is excellent, the suspension uses top quality off the shelf componants and I like the dual carburettor setup on them. The Yamaha looks flasher but in terms of actual real life riding setup, the MZ is probably better equipped if a bit heavier.

Can be problems finding an MZ dealer nearby.

There is also the Suzuki DR-Z400SM which I've no experience of but should be something of a fire-breathing moster.

i had a restrictor on my xt660x and got it up2 92mph at 33bhp
its a great bike, can have great fun on it and do some serious touring without to much discomfort
ain't gotta have a service every other day as its every 6000miles.
which is 2-3 times a year for me as i clock up an average of 1000 miles a month on mine
