I have a HJC CL-14 format

I know you can get iridium visors for this lid > Here < (which colour would you go with? (red/white/blue lid)

How much is too much to pay for a visor?
Do they cut out glare?
Are they street legal at all?
(think the answer to the above is no, so...) Would you get stopped for riding with one fitted?
I read somewhere that the finnish can come off?

anything else i forgotten?

Which ever colour you want.

Yes, they do cut glare. Its the best £50 I've ever spent.

No, they are not legal. You are unlikely to get stopped for wearing one, but it is possible.

RE: the finish - it can come off on cheaper visors but so far I've not had any problems with it coming off my official AGV visor.

They are legal cos they count as sunglasses or something like that. However I've used them a bit (when I've been out and its then become really bright and I want tint from the sun) they can't be removed and re-stuck too many times, and they are prone to flapping around inside your visor if you dont have it 100% closed which I don't normally do until it is winter

Dont by such a cheap lid then Wink

i Supose you could cheat about sticking it and use a thin strip of sellotape.

Well the idea of the bottom of my visor being open is to let air in Razz

Sticking tape etc on your visor might be a pain if it decides to leave glue residue behind Confused

Its the red one at the bottom of the pic > Here <

The dark flash that looks black on that one, is actualy the blue of the blue helmet on same pic (if that makes sence). im gonna take a snap of my lid and post that.

I've got one of those inserts, they seem to have a habit of coming off in the wrong conditions. The first time mine came off was when I left it next to G's dryer, the second time was after Reading festival (i think the dust got in with the glue Confused ) The company replaced it the 1st time and i've not got round to returning the second one. When they are not falling off they are quite good, they make a blue tint in strong sunlight and are clear in lower light conditions.

Hey, how was I supposed to know it would be so dusty there, i'd never been before. Secondly, it's not like I applied the insert just before the Festival and I didn't have a spare helmet to use, so Razz Laughing

I think TiN was hinting towards the fact that the 'dust' may not be of the sandy variety Wink
