is a project bike ever really finished?
heres a pic of mine, a '97 XT600E
i bought it about 7 yrs ago from a guy who got it new in s.africa, rode it up to tunisia then flew it here. unfortunately he didnt tie it down in the crate too well and the tank and side panels got a bit bashed in.
ive been gradually altering it, what i cant make in carbon (tank panels, luggage rack, handholds, exhaust hanger, sharkfin, chainguard, barkbusters) i get cheap on ebay (made up excel wheels, complete with tyres, £400, full pro'duro S/Steel system, £150)
next on the list is a new carbon nose fairing, then i want to do up the brakes, nobody does kits for XTs so i'll have to make the parts myself. ____________________ dave |

Why not take some new ones? ____________________ Bikes: too many, too much for one man to maintain anyway. |
