anyway......
project stopped for a while but has been re-ignited this evening with the purchase of 2 bargain NC30s! One just needs a rear tyre for its mot and the other is an excellent condition '94 in black and red which just happens to be in bits at the moment!
To save with the hassle of registering the original nc30 i had im going to butcher the best parts and make 2 very good bikes and then ebay the rest of it.
one must die for 2 to live......
pics to follow at the weekend. ____________________ Current : '08 Yamaha FZ1s

alright i forgot...
right bike number 1:
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v383/keir_compact/vfr001.jpg
Is a 1995 registered type 7 nc30. It was imported in a batch of 10 from south africa in 2003 by a dealer, registered and mot'ed and then the company went bankrupt. These bikes somehow managed to find its way out of there and into the shop owners lock up where it has sat ever since. not 1 mile has been done since the mot. Its got around 10500KM on the clock and is in exceptional condition. There are only a couple of downsides: the exhaust heatshied has a dent, the lower left hand fairing has a small crack and its missing a few bits and pieces that were taken off to complete the other bikes to make them 100%. Apart from that its all good, just got to wait for new carb rubbers to arrive and i can finish the rebuild.
Bike 2:

the colours are erm, different. Its complete and runs/rides. Just needs a rear tyre for the mot. This one wasnt planned for me it was for the mrs' brother after his own cbr 400 project went sour. No doubt it'll spend more time with me than him.
I think i will fix up the SA import '30 and may keep it as an invesment depending on how it comes out. Id need a mint lower left hand fairing really though and thats not going to be easy to find.
The 'noddy' colour '30 will go to the mrs' brother assuming he ever passes his test....
The remaining original project may be stripped and turned into a track bike. Its low mileage and unregistered so it seems a shame to break it. I could sell the fairings and get a fibreglass set, remove all un-necessaries and sell them to free up some money for a good setup. i certainly have enough parts to complete it.
so.. there you go - what is it about nc30s?!?!! ____________________ Current : '08 Yamaha FZ1s

not sure what stage the first nc30 is in paintscheme wise but how about the black and white 'west' replica? looks a little smarted than the HM plant imo.
(couldnt find apicture of a real bike so this model will have to do )
https://www.leslie.co.nz/models/images/gallery/NSR500/NSR500_Alex_1.jpg
would perhaps fit the nc30's fairing shape better too?
just a suggestion ____________________ Insta - FemFeral |

yeah not a bad suggestion. its currently sitting in gloss black unfinished. im probably going to sell the full set of plastics and get a fibreglass race set anyway. ____________________ Current : '08 Yamaha FZ1s
