My bike makes a funny noise..

I have a PGO PMX Sport 50cc scooter.
It's automatic.

When I rev the engine it's fine, but when I reach something like, a constant speed..maybe 20 or 30mph. and keep the throttle on that speed, not pulling it down..

my engine makes a..very irratating buzzing noise which is probably a bad thing.

any ideas? I know noises like this usually lead to fuck ups =[

Where abouts is the noise coming from? Try finding a quiet car park or something with a nice straight line, so you can duck a little whilst riding and try and source where the noise is coming from.

Could be something to do with the belt in the tranny casing in all seriousness. Confused

could be an electrical restriction.
my very old(long time ago) honda X8R-S scooter did the same... found out it was an electrical restriction in the C.D.I

look for summat loose rattling around. offenders on peds are often heat shields on or around the exhaust.

lol, it's no restriction. It never used to make this...the best way i can describe it is as a...whining buzz. and it's not cus it's a 2T.

I have no idea where the noise is coming from and it will be quite hard to find out. lols.

It goes away the second I let the throttle open any more though, it's as if it's choking for fuel...only it doesn't cut out or run worst when I hold the acceleration on it, but that's what it sounds like although there are no physical...things to prove this.

about 6 months ago, it had a new piston (70cc) and a yamaha exhaust, I wore the set in properly though and never had no problems with it, it's just recently started happening. I may have to open her up and check the carb + piston. But I don't understand the noise at all. I just know it can't be good.
