Couldn't comment on their quality... but I suspect that the price more than makes up for it... it's unlikely the italian offerings will offer the first time rider much more than these will. However it's pretty likely the itailan ones will be twice the price.
Personally I think these sort of things are generally a much better bet for most people that want scooters.

I have to admit that comparing any one of the modern scooters (i.e. Yamaha aerox etc) to my SH50 is like comparing a blade to an NSR. it's scary - i'm temped to get a scooter Razz!

I'd imagine it's just to protect it during transit. But leaving it on might not be a bad idea given the number of times my scooter ended up on it's arse thanks to people reversing into it Rolling Eyes

G, the bike shop I work for bought 3 of these chinese 125 things. They have done 2000 miles each approximately, and the paint is coming off already. I have had to replace one choke cable, 2 throttle cables and one clutch cable. They also have 2 CG125's that are about 6 years old, between them they've needed one throttle cable replacing and the paintwork is still as good as the day they bought them. These bikes have done upwards of 30k miles. Says a lot.

Cheap Chinese knock offs!!! That's what it looks like to me, most likely destined for the Asian market (Korea, China, Thailand etc.)
