purchased my Wii last week, and yesterday I got it chipped using a WiiKey.
i've burned a tonne of games but a few of them ask me to update and say it might possibly stop my console from working if I proceed.
how do i get round this. i updated my Wii as soon as i brought it, should I have done?
can I update the WiiKeys firmware etc?
cheers ____________________ Turbo R1

Well i've been doing some reading and posted this ion Shauns thread too.
i'm Running the latest 3.0E firmware on my Wii BTW.
| Quote: | just been reading up on my modded Wii, impossible to brick your console as long as you use Pal games on your PAL machine.
some NTSC have updates on them that will ask you to update, doing so will swap your Pal Firmware for their NTSC firmware and brick your console. so simply choose NO to the update and turn your console off.
if you do have an .iso that you know has an update on then you run it through BrickBlocker and it will remove the update from the .iso
burn the game as usual, run it.
sorted.
just been to fetch a dual charger for mine as my 2 x Wiimotes eat batteries. |
