Hi i cant get my bike to start.
There is spark, there is fuel, there is loads of compression
I kickstart the bike, engine starts for a second and then dies, then it has to be kicked loads of times before this happens again.
Each time it does this, it runs for a second and then dies and fouls the plug, i have tried many times of kicking it over-fail-clean spark plug-try again. with no luck.
I have recently messed about with the engine (new gaskets, top end rebuild) so is there anything i may have done wrong or anything i am overlooking?
Is it possible that the engine is getting too much fuel? as it really fouls up the plug.
Thanks!

Hi, i see you have cleaned the spark plug but have you tried a new sparkplug as sometimes they wear out and dont spark properly when subjected to compression from the engine (apparently)

Hey
The spark plug is only a month or two old but i'll see if i can get a new one from halfords, any idea if they do NGK plugs? (BR9ES)
Is there anything else it could possibly be?

Wont hurt to stick a brand new plug in it. I'd have the carb off too and check the jets are ok because my main jet fell out once and that really cocked up the running. Is the fuel stale? Maybe try new fuel as well.
