Insurance company have just told me it has to be missing for 21 days before they'll do anything. Police have been quick to sort out crime reference numbers and all that, what a pisser!!! My baby has gone Crying or Very sad I cried, been in my boyfriends car driving around the area this morning but I think someone's had it off in their van, annoying thing is boyfriend had to go so now I have to sit at home waiting to hear from someone when really I want to be on the road searching the area, although I would've thought if it's been trashed locally then the police probably would have found it by now.

It went missing between midnight (when I got home and saw it last) and 8am (when the builders arrived and noticed it was gone).

That's cool, i wasn't being rude....just heard stories from my old man (a builder) that they sometimes talk amoungst the pikeys in the area if there's something nice about. Wouldn't be them, would be someone else.

Good luck finding it hun, sometimes it's hidden before ridden with scum. Or with a bike like that, taken off for the bits.

K Karma Thumbs Up

Hope you find it. As it's a G-reg I'm assuming it's quite an old bike, in which case it's probably not a professional job - probably a good thing in a way as it may have been taken just to rag around so the chances of finding it are a bit better.

Sorry, I know that doesn't really help...

It's probably been taken apart. Policewoman I spoke to on the phone said it had been a night of bike theft, she had dealt with 6 in an hour and she is one of 80 people taking phonecalls so who knows how many more people. I'm just so angry, thieves don't give a shit about the fact I'll be losing my no claims, I'll be bikeless when the weather is getting ncie again, and I probably won't get an insurance payout anywhere close to what the bike was worth (to me personally and financially), and then there's the hassle fo getting a new one, and what if it's found totalled? Then I have to pay the police for picking it up. I can't afford all this crap, and having to get the fucking bus is no good thing for me. Great start just after my birthday.

Not so sure, when mine was stolen (an H reg of the same model) it was found whilst in the process of being stripped in an industrial unit ready to be sold on with a new identity and the parts sold separately.

Scum scum scum.

Oh dear, sorry to hear your bike has gone, but did you have a good birthday, if you saw the bike after midnight, i take it you had a few drinks, hopefully when you get the bike back go out and celebrate again or sit next to the bike and celebrate ...

My bike is staying at home, because its my birthday today and i will have a drink for you, think of it as someone praying its returned.

When the boyfriend gets back we're going to go and check all parks and fields and general areas for it to be dumped to later be collected, it;s either been picked up by a van or somehow wheeled off (despite disc lock)

Gutted for you Alli, I had two gullarms swiped recently, but lucky for me they were found dumped around the corner.

Tell everyone you know, it's a small world and you never know if a friend of a friend knows someone who knows a pikey and could hear any info.

I'll keep an eye for parts on ebay, hope it's still intact and somewhere waiting to be found though Karma

Unfortunately disc locks alone aren't that good, two people can still hoik it away by lifting the wheel. Evil or Very Mad

I despise bike thieves and hope the perps in your case are mutilated in a freak multichef accident.

Thanks, I too hope they have a freak multichef accident that mutilates them enough to still be alive but with less arms and legs than before Twisted Evil

I swear to god - if someone tried to nick my bike - i would make sure they couldn't operate the gears or rear brake.

It's bad enough when someone else gets their bike nicked - but if it ever happens to you....... Confused
