Well presumably it's safer riding one sat on it than say, swinging from the bars? Laughing Razz

Even *I* know that you have to sit on a bike to ride it (Unless you're Graham Collins or whatever his name is). Razz

Which would you rather have? A gas guzzling agricultural vee-hick-el sounding american icon, or a *car*. I for one plan to move to Arizona as soon as i become 50, and buy myself a sportster 883, a Smith and Wesson, a Dire Straits CD and a pack of Marlboros. Cool .

If the option was a Hog or a car, then it would be the car Confused .
But then I would sell it and buy a real bike Smile.

I'm sure you could get a couple of hundred quid for it, as long as it had a valid MOT. Very Happy

KEV: 1 Please Laughing
Nah the good thing is now i'm 18 and i've got a job and a decent credit rating, I can fill that NSR shaped gap in my finances, or rather Danny's finances, and Danny (with help from Kev) can fill the NSR shaped area of empty air on my drive Smile.

Ah Cool The start of great things for me Smile.

Sorry but I actually quite like the V-Rod! Cool

I'm just preparing myself for the day when my back pain gets so bad that the only thing I can ride is comfortable cruisers. Confused

Only Harley I'd ever buy is a Buell, I hate the vrod but just needed to sit on it for comedy value. But if someone offered me a go on a Harley, I'd take em up on it just to see if I liked it at all, I'd rather have nice car though I think.

I know a guy who had one a while back, but he didn't get on with it. He reckoned it was ok for the odd cruise, but for everyday life it was completely impractical.

He said it was a dog at low speeds due to being so heavy and hard to turn(tightly) and at anything over 60mph it felt like your head was going to get ripped off.

Personally I don't see the point, but then I don't really see the point of any cruiser. There might be the odd couple of days each year where it would be nice to use one but the rest of the time they're be a pain in the ass imho.

Just my 2 cents worth...
