HELP how do i get rid of this girl!!!!!!

ive tried everything and she just wont take a hint, i even told her strait up that i didnt like her in "that" way and she still wont leave me alone.

i guess if i start nearer the beginning you'll get a better picture so...

in year 11 (2 years ago) i took this girl to the prom, i did like her like "that" then but somehow things didnt work out like i wanted, anyway about a year ago i called her and got her to come out, i guess it could be called a date but i saw it as more of a tester to see if i liked her still etc... and to put it simply, i didnt! shes got a really really really annoying laugh but finds everything funny, i dont have a clue what shes on about half the time and to top it off i dont particularly like her mates. since then her and her friends have been trying to get me to go out with her consistently despite my every effort to shun her off.

all my mates keep telling me to shag her and dont speak to her for a month after and then she'll get the picture, but to be honest im not that kind of person and as much as i dont like her in a girlfriend sence id still like to keep her as a friend

im not sure what you can suggest that i wont have already tried and as i said above i said it to her plain and simple that i didnt think of her in that way anymore but it was to no avail but by now im pretty much willing to try anything!

What exactly is the problem? You've told her to leave you alone and that you're not interested (despite what could be called leading her on a year ago)? What impact is she actually having on your life?

If you're not interested in her then don't have any contact with her, simple as.

its a bit of a funny situation to be honest even if i wanted to end all contact with her she only lives 10 minutes from me and shes also worked out that i always answer my mobile to private numbers as 9 times out of 10 its my house phone or my dads mobile which are both set to private, unfortunatly the 10th time its her!

the main problem is that i dont want to end all contact with her, i still like her as a friend but thats all i want it to be, itsgetting her to see it that way thats working out hard! especialy when she has her friends helping her out.
