One thing to bear in mind is that with TPO and TPFT only third parties are covered by your insurance, whereas with comprehensive yourself and passengers are covered too.

Your passenger is considered a 3rd party as far as I know. You obviously are not however.

There aren't many cases where I'd go for Comprhensive cover... because the total cost of a claim (lost NCB etc etc) will often come to a fair bit more than just sorting any damage out yourself.

If you can protect your no claims on a fully comprehensive policy, it may be worth it, if you have a new or nearly new bike.

It is very rare that motorcycle comprehensive insurance includes cover for personal injuries. I don't know of any company that does cover you for personal injuries if you should crash your own vehicle.

All the best

A Quote I had was £550 TPO for the NSR, or £900 FC with a £500 Excess. What about Fire and Theft? Would that be wiser?

Depends, can you guarantee your baby wont get stolen?

I always go TPFT, never just TPO. Like G says I don't go FC due to the fact by the time I make a claim for my bike it will have cost me as much if not more than it would of to fix the damage myself.

I can't guaruntee it'll never get stolen, I'll probably ask about FPFT but the premiums are stupid Sad. I know it's stating the obvious a bit but still Sad.

That is who I am insured with. And to add a bonus to that the renewal was substantially lower than last years premium so it looks like they are not just giving you a cheap quote to get you there, and then ramping up the renewals to make their profits which is a trick used by plenty of brokers.

All the best

Thats good to hear, my renewal through Bike Team was only £30 (or so) more than that and that allows me to ride any bike, may get back on to them and see if they will lower their price slightly all the same.

Hi

The Bandit insurance renewal was £196 (including £12 legal cover) for fully comp with protected full no claims, and that covers me to ride bikes I do not own and also has Charlotte as a named rider. That is with Direct Choice, and is down from £256 last year for the same cover. Bennets wanted £288 I think without cover to ride bikes I don't own which is why I went to Direct Choice.

By the way the real phone quote from Direct Choice was alot lower than their online quote.

All the best

Keit
