OK, went to Halfords today, got a HFU200 4x21W Relay. Got all excited on the way home cos I also bought some new indicators today with clear iridium effect on them. Got home and took to work on my bike.
Off come the old indicators. Got all the new ones in place and wired up. Now for the relay. 2 mins later the new relay is in place.
Now to test. On goes the ignition. On goes the left indicator.....bang. Fuse blown. I wonder why??? Hmmm....I thought.....let me check the wiring it is obviously shorting out somewhere.......tried again..... bang. Ok running out of fuses here I have one left..... what the fuck can it be.......... I know let me try duct tape all over my wiring connections just to make 100% sure nothing is short circuiting onto the frame. On goes the ignition......bang. FUCK.
What the fuck can it be??? Possibly a faulty relay??? I know its the right relay, but could it be faulty??? Would this cause the fuse to blow??? It coulda taken a bash in the shop, I dunno. Plz help me out here I have a bike with no working indicators on at the mo so I can't ride my bike!!!! ____________________ A big enough hammer fixes anything! |
