I think it would be a good idea to have a technical help forum, where people can go and ask for infomation on how to fix there pride and joy, it would sepeate some of the posts from general forum and it might mean that the people who want help don't have to hunt through a pile of new messages to find the thread they posted.

Oh come on everyone.
You can't all vote no and not give a reason. I think it may be a good idea as I for always glaze over when I see a thread titled 'nsr wont start'.
I know that there used to be a tech forum in the old old nsr forum but as some people have said it may work these days as we have more members!

Everyone's voting no just to spite dav^^ Rolling Eyes

Not a bad idea - but as you will remember when we had a technical forum before, people were not getting the amount of coverage they would have had in General chat.

So a good idea in theory that doesn't really work in reality at the moment.

Just keep it in general IMO.

The FAQ forum was ideally set up for run of the mill questions etc, then when the answer wasn't found (ie you look through the posts not just ask the question there) you post in the general forum which is viewed by just about everyone, and as such more chance of getting a response.

A technical forum is a good idea in theory, in practice its easier and better to keep it in the general forum though.

And I didn't vote, and don't really care who started the thread - I have nothing against anyone, I am one with the forum and the forum is one with me, Shalom Razz Laughing

Personally i don't want the forum to have any more sections than it already has.
Minimalstic works best.

Have you ever tried to use a forum with about 30 headings...
Not worth even looking at.
Where as 4-5-6 seems to work best.

There aren't enough people. We've got enough sub-forums as it is, without dividing it any further down, and if I see a 'help I can't start my NSR' thread I just don't read it, as I won't have any advice.

Ok, I didn't realise that there was a technical help forum on the old one forum, i can see people's reasons why it shouldn't be changed and now i actually agree, also

True but i made it a vote as well because if you don't it just ends up being either no responce or loadz of short ones (and then everyone ends up losing karma e.t.c)

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 20 years, 142 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
