I think i saw a very similar bike to the 7UP RD350 at a bike meet. It had the same paintjob, but had a front and rear end from a Kawasaki KR1s, and i dont think it had Nitrous either.
If i could have one 2stroke road legal bike then it would have to be this one:

It is road legal.

/me points at the number plate.

I read about this bike in a magazine. Might all look good but the fuel economy is shit. Something like 10miles/gallon.

Very very fast, not sure If it could keep up with a fully raced tuned GP 500.

I'd be more worried about the rebuilds.

Bollocks to the re-builds, its the rush of mental power that i craves! yeah its Mark Dents RGV575 special, and i belive that its the most powerful 2stroke road bike in the uk! its now got 145 r/w bhp at 11000rpm, and thats probably over 160bhp at the crank! It started life as a std 500 with an RGV front end and fairing, and its been tuned to stage 3 and beyond now. I heard that it does around 7mpg on average, crazy i know but the sound it makes is spine tingling, and i think it weighs about 140kg so it must accelerate like a bastard!

so what engine is in that bike then? i thought it would be an Aprilia RSV500 motor, but its obviously a 4cyl! Most RGV/RS500 conversions all use the RG500 motor, as being a square four it's compact and fits into alot of frames easily enough. The RG might well be an old engine, but it takes well to tuning, and is pretty reliable for a 95bhp 2stroke.

I dont think that theres loads of RS500's around, but a fair few RGV250s have been converted to sqaure 4 500 power, as you can now buy a conversion kit that allows the suzuki motor to drop right in, and all the mountings etc. They even do the subframes, battery box, filters, and everything else specially made for this conversion. It obviously makes for a fast RGV, and has a big handling advantage over the original RG500. i dont think that its particually cheap, and so its generally just a handfull of 2 stroke nutters who do these conversions. The other problem with the RGV is the 14ltr fuel tank, as when combined with a RG motor with 20mpg or much less if tuned results in a rediculous tank range.

RGV250's have a 17 litre fuel tank, but something silly like 5.5 litres of that is reserve.

Laughing I know, but when the tank range is 70 miles on a good day a few extra miles wouldn't go amiss Smile
