Speed is a drug. Good on yer Brunstrom. In 10 years time 180mph will be legal in Wales.

Proves he's not 100% stupid then. Smile

Prohibition doesn't work as a way of controlling drug use, so it seems an entirely reasonable idea to consider decriminalisation as that way the government would have control over drug use.

They're incapable of controlling anything else, why would they be able to control drug use then? I think they would rather issue fines for everything myself. Nice little earner for them and no costly prisons to run.

Well of course it's not going to happen under the current Labour government, its a given that nothing beneficial to the country will happen whilst they're in power. Laughing

Why would they be able to control drug use; for the benefit of the population would be a good place to start I reckon as it would stop children getting drugs and quality and strength would be controlled meaning contaminated drugs are no longer being sold. Then there's the financial motivation, there'd be a lot of income in VAT etc from the drugs market. There'd be lots of police resources freed up and NHS resources freed up as well.

Prohibition doesn't work, taking over the industry will give greater control of drugs.
