Soo... I'm a biker not a car'ERRR however It's about time I get a car aswell as I'm fed up of the gf having to drive me everywhere .
I just went to book my car theory test however when typing in my driving lisence number it's keeps saying, "You are not entitled to take or are not required to take the test you selected. For more information, please contact the Call Centre on 0870 600 0067 or email Customer Care at customercare@pearson.com. "
Yes i'm sure I clicked "Car" and yes im sure I am entering the correct number.
I checked my certificate and it doesnt actually say for motorcycle, if you do 1 does it count for the other too? I swear you use to have to do both but with the new rules that kicked in Sept07 I'm not sure if this is one of them.
If it's true and I don't have to take another theory.. WOOHOO.
EDIT: Ok after checking again it does say "A motorcycle category". So why the hell won't they accept me! (21st May 07 I took it) ____________________ :: P Speedfight 49cc => Gilera DNA 124cc => Suzuki Bandit GSF V 400cc ::

The way it works in Spain is you have to take the car theory for any licence apart from 50cc which is a 4 day course .
They call the call theory the general test. Then if you want a motorcycle licence you have to do the motorcycle theory as well. This is the same one for 125cc and full licence, but the practical is different.
125cc: Closed circuit practical on a 75-125cc scooter.
250+cc: The same closed circuit but on a 250cc geared bike making it harder cause the turns become more difficult. Then you have to do a road test which is just driving around for 20 minutes, but if you've had a 125cc licence for over 2 years you don't have to do this part. I think it's a pretty good system, but perhaps a little too easy |

Depends how long you have had your bike license. If its before 1st feb 2001, no need for you to take a car theory test.
If so, you just have to ring to book for practical, it confuses the online system if you try to otherwise. Saves you 30 quid though

EDIT: you havent had it that long, give them a call and explain that their system is confused. I had a similar problem when I tried to book the bike one. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |
