I can't get into the map - it's grey and not an active hyperlink.

Anybody remember their A level maths? Formula for distance between two vectors on a 2d grid? Get me that and I'll try to do it.

Can you not make it use The AA Route Planner or one of the route planners online? Because doing it as a vector will only give the straghtline distance etc, not the actual distance Smile Razz

Pythagoras

X^2+y^2=z^2

And I could swear we touched on it in ks3 Razz.

So you need to square the difference between the x coordinates and square the difference between the y coordinates. Add the two results together then find the square root of that, which will be the straight line distance.

I swear I did pythagoras in G.C.S.E. maths. In fact I remember doing it in Year 9 when I changed over from the Spanish bilingual school to a tatty catholic school.

This might be a stupid question, as everybody else seems to have figured it out, but how do I get a map to show in my profile?

I tried the top link but it doesn't work. Confused
