Commuting on a KTM is brave!

Nice bikes though. Very confidence inspiring handling if it's anything like the 950 SM.

Why Question My commute is only usually 12 miles, sometimes 40ish Wink

Are they a nightmare for servicing?

They're expensive, beautiful, and have fairly short service intervals iirc.

3 qualities I wouldn't want to commute on. It's a bit like commuting on a Ducati. Also being a big single I bet it mullers chains and sprockets well. Tank range is decent though.

Gorgeous bike though, and I'm sure you'll have a much more fun commute than I will!

A couple of places have suggested a service every 1500 miles. Although it seems a lot of owners will do oil and filter every 1000.

I'm not worried about chains and sprockets, I was more worried about engine rebuilds etc Surprised

Sounds good... just need to sell my gsxr superfighter now...
