https://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/04/25/justice_bill_extreme_pron/

Precis government is currently debating if to 'extreme porn' note how extreme is ill defined meaning anything they want is to be banned from the UK, the Amending clauses were defeated....

Note the backdoor provisos of the law (no pun intended) which effectively means if you have a PC of any kind the police can effectively enter your home and search for suspicion of extreme porn thus if you are found completely innocent they can still do you for extreme porn, oh dear ......

Oh and encryption won't work a law devised a couple years ago said if you don't have over the encryption keys = 3 years in prison.

Was just gonna do a post on this Itchy, good job I checked first.

Another example of ill-thought out legislation being arrogantly forced on us, borne out of the 'Ban Culture'.

I think this sums it up:

Lord Wallace of Tankerness wrote:
"If no sexual offence is being committed it seems very odd indeed that there should be an offence for having an image of something which was not an offence," he said.

"Having engaged in it consensually would not be a crime, but to have a photograph of it in one's possession would be a crime. That does not seem to make sense to me."

And

Quote:
To those who fear the legislation might criminalise people who use violent pornography as a harmless sex aid, she (Jane Longhurst's mother) responds with a blunt "hard luck".

Thumbs Down

This is another case of someone being bereaved and totally blaming the wrong thing.

People refuse to believe that sick people exist. They always will exist, and there will always be killers.

But that doesn't mean that this stuff will automatically turn well adjusted people into killers...

The law is an ass, and if implemented in its current form will mean that Basic instinct will be banned, as this shows (or appears to show) someone having their life endangered during a sexual act.

Thumbs Down

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I imagine there would be a lot of very aggressive adolescents committing violent crimes up and down the country.

Why ban it when you could tax it, is that not the usual reaction to things the government don't want us to do.

Some sort of wank-trading system along the lines of the carbon trading thing. If you feel relatively satisfied you could sell your daily voucher to someone who is feeling a bit randy and of course, vice versa.

Obviously if you had a wet dream, that would count towards your weekly quota too. Wink We could have PCSO's carrying ultra-violet torches to scan the bed sheets...

On topic: Judging by the sexual proclivities of some politicians, in terms of porn; nothing seems to extreme. As long as Anne Widdecombe isn't on the committee I think we'd be laughing.

Thumbs Up

The rest of what you say could be possible. But the above is already happening. Maybe they dont know what wanking is yet.

Anyhow we better get off for a freebie while its still free becuase that could be on the list.
