Evening ladies and gentlemen,

I just thought I'd share this with you all, I recently did a hunt for a new multibike policy to cover my 'storm and K75RT.

I'm 23, with 6yrs NCB, living in a low risk area but no garage.

My policy renewal price was £530 TPFT (from CIA) after about 45mins of phoning around I got it down to £330, then a few hours later got it down to £250!

See the attached spreadsheet for the quotes people were giving me.

another tip as well, your job can also affect your premium, my colleague had some daft quotes and asked one company over the phone if they could make it any cheaper. They changed his job description from graphic designer to software developer and his quote almost halved...

Danny. i thought YOU were THEinsurance guru? What happened to danny's quotes and how you saved £8000 off bcf-er's renewals in 2004? I remember you saying that the insurance regulations changed which meant that you were unable to search for uber cheap quotes, but surely you would still have the ability to search for cheaper insurance?

Gmanxiii, quite true, there are many factors that affect your premium, the main ones being:
age
post code
previous claims and/or convictions
bike type
ncb

I think I did a thread a couple of years ago explaining how to get cheaper insurance but I can't find it as the server is always too busy to search.
This thread was really just a top-up/update to that.
