I am going to be doing my full test after the changes in october and I was wondering what is actually going to happen with the test.

Is it just going to get harder?

Or will you still be able to do the A2 restricted test?

So basically what I am wondering if I will still be able to do my restricted test and get a GSXR 600 or something similar?

The types of licence will be exactly the same; any changes are not final although they are thinking of changing it in the future if I remember righty.
The main difference with the new test will be the price; I've heard it could be double the current rare. I think it may be harder, as you have to do some extra manouvers i.e. emergency stop from 31mph.

Oh well, on the bright side I suppose you will learn more...

Actually you have to do the emergency stop while cornering at 30KPH not mph Razz

But yeah it's getting a "little" bit harder but nothing major. Price might go up I don't know.

And yes, you can still take the A2 and restrict whatever bike to 33BHP Thumbs Up

Oh right, I there was a big hoo-har a while ago because it was 31mph due to being 50KPH in the EU. They must have changed it/that was a rumour.

Fail Molotov.

You have to do the emergency stop thing from 32mph or 50kmh, hence it has to be done in one of the off road testing areas. Thumbs Up

By far the biggest change will be the lack of test center's....

So thats 60% who will have to travel more than 45 mins to a center.....

At the moment there are 225 ish the target for the new ones is 65.

As its a EU thing and the brake test has to be from 50 kph 31 mph then how exactly are they going to tell if you are spot on 31mph....

Yes, exactly that. They have a speed gun that detects your speed as you pass between cones. You get two goes to do the emergency stop correctly from 31mph or more, or else you fail.
