I was watching the news and they were claiming that the government plans to up the car tax's by at least £100 for a normal car such as a mondeo to around £310! Shocked

So what with this, yet more planned petrol rises and also the stupid 'cant make our minds up income tax' efforts the only people that seem to stand to gain/survive any of this are the already stinking rich.

What on earth are they thinking and how can they possibly think that they are doing something anywhere near correct even with the current consequences of what they have recently decided to do?

As if the country isn't in enough trouble and yet they seem to want to strangle everyone lower than upper class of the air that they breath.

AAAaaaaaarggh!!! Evil or Very Mad

/Rant over

erm if you read the tiny print it was cars made post March 2001 or something get hit by + £100 in 2009 then another £100 in 2010.

Also the income tax thing to compensate people is FOR ONE YEAR only...

I've said it on many a forum , Gordon knows he is going to lose and lose big time, which means he has nothing to lose (what Sun Tzu said was an incredibly dangerous person its why you never surround an enemy) and therefore from now till 2010 the Labour government are going to go full throttle snouts into trough mode (recent news of 23K tax free living allowance to hide expenses),

sign bad government contracts to companies they will become directors of when they lose their seats.

And steal as much tax payer money as possible in the short term , while at the same time wrecking the economy as much as possible so that the tories have an even harder time trying to clean up the mess , it took from 1979 to 1994 to clean up the mess of the last labour government.
