Just replace both ya skinflint!
Only kidding. Seriously, putting part worn pads in with new ones is REALLY bad, and I dread to think what would happen if you put new HH ones in and crappy old ones in the other side.
Just change the lot to HH and be done with it. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

Hi
Officially no. Unofficially probably. It might make it pull one way, but probably no different to the amount it is pulling from having one set of pads wearing. It is unlikey to be that noticeable though as it is hardly a problem for bikes with a single disk.
Personally I think I would just go for a full set. Clean the calipers up and bleed the brakes through at the same time. It will cost you (long term) about 1/2 of the cost of one pair of pads, so about £10. Probably worthwhile for peace of mind.
It you want to be a cheapskate then you might find the barely front pads are suitable for the rear caliper .
All the best

After you left I had a moment of clarity and realised: your caliper bracket is on back to front, the brake pads are fine it's just the bracket is going to foul on the disc in another 0.5mm of wear or so. ____________________ 3516 Miles, 11 Countries |
