can any one tell me if it is possible to derestrict a 1990 Honda CR125 to 40BHP.
one o my mates just bought it and the guy said its probly tipping 40bhp-which i find extremly hard to believe!
Is this possible? has got fulll fmf , reeds,alll them things and lightweight sprockets and wiseco pistons etc

Hi

It probably is not far off 40hp as standard, in good condition. After 14 years of use probably somewhat less now. It would not have been restricted.

I think what you're thinking of is 40bhp is a lot compared to a road bike 125, which only put out 30bhp. The reason for this is that crosser engines are in a much higher state of tune, and they make the power low down as apposed to at the top end.

and they have to be rebiult ever 5sec's and littrally DRINK fuel but are well worth it Laughing
