As you may or may not know, I wrote off my previous lid in a crash while working on saturday evening. While not seriously injured I did manage to whack my face on the road and write off my lid. Today I went to hein gericke and bought myself a new sparkly one Smile.

Obviously it hurts like hell to wear for the time being and the guy didn't quite fit the hyperoptics insert properly so the visor's a major bugger to open and close, but if it's not fixed itself by the time the warranty runs out i'll take it back Smile.

Nice helmet Laughing

I got one of those inserts too and it causes my visor problems when opening. It's really stiff. But the insert is great, it's one of those light reactive ones, it does work well. I wear glasses and it saves me having to carry my prescription sunglasses with me, and also saves me from having to stop and change them if the sun comes out.

Anyone else got this problem? Any cures?

Oh, and I hope your head is ok from your crash Very Happy

Nice lid. Smile Tip for the insert, keep it away from tumble driers. Exclamation

But then you have to carry a clear one and keep switching between the two. Cure for dark visors, get an insert. Wink Laughing

But then you have to stop to take the insert out. Cure for visor swapping, buy an Arai! Wink

Very nice.

I use a tinted insert rather than a black visor because its easier to store. An insert will fit un the seat but a visor wont meaning I need to carry something to keep it int.
