Value for money the ART stainless steel ones are good. But other than that they're a bit crap. They do make a nice noise IMO, but there are nicer Smile

General build quality of lots of ART products is often poor.

Customer service is pretty crappy.

And I remember you've called ART & Blue Flame exhausts crap before. Wink

ART have very good build quality and I have never said ART were crap but I have said blue flames are.

Anyway have you ever had one or even had anything to do with one?

CBR 600, Ducati, GSXR400.

The one on that old 6 was fucked due to it being crashed and the insides had seen better days cause it was running like a sack of cack and burt most of the insides out so I don't really think your one to judge on whats good and whats not.

Also what you have to bear in mind is i've been riding, fixing and tuning bikes for nearly 15 years now and in all the cans i've seen ART are one of the best for the money.

There's an art on mine and it sounds gorgeous. It's not obscenely loud, it's just nice and growly.

A can's a can. You get the one you like the sound of most or the one that has the logo you want to show off. Rolling Eyes

You're allowed because you have a yellow bike. Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Some of the other Art bits I've seen have been really shit. Huggers which just rub on the wheel Surprised

Imo

Art - are damned noisy, but I don't like their look/finish much.

Akra - Good finish quality, probably about the best performance gain (although still bugger all in the grand scheme of things). The downside being 1 in 2 R6s already have one.

BF - have heard bad things about quality/fit. Normally seem to have a good finish + don't cost too much.

Micron - quite noisy, quite cheap, good compromise?

Have you looked at the messagenet exhaust thread? It's 12 pages and counting - must have about every possible can in it by now.

At the end of the day, nothing I've heard 'pops' quite like an Akra when you throttle off. Razz

OK as 95% of people I've asked have said Blue Flames were crap.

I bought a carbon oval Micron can for £93.00 on ebay.

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2465261922&category=10490&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWN%3AIT&rd=1

It didnt close for £51, I wish, he closed it early for me at £93.00 delivered. Not a bad price I don't think?

Looks good anyway!

Kev mate, I won't need to rejet for a slip on will I ?

Think it's just full systems that require fueling adjustments isn't it?

Cheers Cool

Can't wait to loose the sewing machine like sound Laughing

You won't.

Well, it might run slightly rich, but not a problem amount.

If you fit other bits like K&n filter, then it would be worth getting it setup on a dyno. Thumbs Up

It`s normally recommended to rejet but it really doesn't matter.

Anyone with ART cans look away...

I think they are nasty. Cheap, tacky and crap. They sound alright but the BIG crappy ART logo and the cheapness of them really puts me off.

Think it's between a blue flame twin exit power port or a akra.

OMG shut your face right now you heathen, ART cans make the best noise, my VFR sounds ausome with it now hold your tounge young man, and for the R6, Akropovik is your friend, mines sounds sweet. (not as nice/loud as my VFR with an ART can Razz)
